Golden Milk - all time favourite

The spice known as turmeric may be the most effective nutritional supplement in existence. Studies show that turmeric has major benefits for your body and brain. Many of these benefits come from its main active ingredient, curcumin.

It has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant.
Inflammation in general is incredibly important since it helps fight foreign invaders and has a role in repairing damage in your body. Once inflammation becomes chronic and attacks your body’s own tissues it gets problematic, since it can play a role in health conditions and diseases:
These include:
heart disease
cancer
metabolic syndrome
Alzheimer’s disease
various degenerative conditions
That’s why anything that can help fight chronic inflammation is potentially important in preventing and helping treat these conditions.
So this week we will calm your evenings with our all time favourite potion:
Golden bedtime milk:

Ingredients
½ - 1 tsp of ground turmeric
½ tsp of ground ginger
½ tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground cardamom or 4 crushed pods
pinch of black pepper
200ml of your preferred milk (diary, oat, soy, etc.)
1 teaspoon of honey, Jaggery or maple syrup
Method
1) Place all of the ingredients into a pan over medium heat.
2) Mix well and let it come to a boil. Let it simmer for some minutes.
3) You can pour it into a mug immediately or through a strainer.
4) Add the sweetener of your choosing.
